香港出身、バイリンガル育ち（広東語/英語）。2015年に旦那の故郷・徳之島へ移住。緑が豊かな自然の中に暮らし、海に囲まれ波音を聞きながら、離島生活ならではの毎日を過ごす。この島をもっと知りたい！と思って通訳案内士の研修を受け、新しい発見がいっぱいで新しい出会いにも感謝。島の「過去」を学び、島の「現在」を大切にして、島の「未来」へ繋ぐ。これからも徳之島を探索しつつ、自分の言語力を活かし、島人の一員として徳之島の魅力を皆さんと共有できたらと思います。

生まれも育ちも徳之島。短い教員生活の後に水族館勤務（サンゴ調査補助と解説員）を経て、自然や生きものの魅力にはまる。海ー川ー森と循環する自然の営みに深く感動し、その中で生かされていることを実感。自分が学び感じたことを人に伝え、ともに考え愉しむことが私にできる環境保全だと確信して地元に戻り、徳之島虹の会の皆さんと出会う。地質や動植物などの自然、遺跡、歴史、文化、民俗…数々の研修に参加する機会に恵まれ、知れば知るほど広がり深まる徳之島の魅力に興奮＆感動する毎日。

where is tokunoshima?

Tokunoshima is about 450km south of Kagoshima. Although it is a small remote island with a coastline of about 90 km, it is compactly packed with all kinds of attractive points, such as the unique origins of the island, the diverse natural environment, and the history and traditional culture of the islanders who have lived in harmony with nature. Its rich biodiversity and abundance of rare animals and plants have been evaluated as world treasures. Together with Amami Oshima, the northern part of Okinawa Island, and Iriomote Island, it has been registered as the fifth World Natural Heritage Site in Japan.
